Wow, it has been a long while. Just think of it as my summer vacation. Of terror! Apparently when you’re down the rain keeps pouring down! Um, I mean when it rains it pours. Anywho, it’s been a crazy while since my last post. In fact, I haven’t even been reading much.

So of course I’m going to get in the mood, with some lovely covers. What a great way to come back to blogging, and hopefully give me the boom I need to get my reading feet back.

Enjoy. And if you’re in a reading funk, may this get you back in the groove.

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: YA Time Travel/Paranormal

Shera’s thoughts:

First off you NEED to read the synopsis for this book.

It’s no secret that I adore book covers with cityscapes reflected as something else. Not only because when done right it looks gorgeous, but because it either mean alternate realities or time travel!! Yes!

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

Previous book(s) in series:

AnEmberintheyAshesbySabbaTahir Series: N/A

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Epic Fantasy

Shera’s thoughts:

Oh, this is soooooo pretty! Rumor is that this title is actually being optioned for a movie by Paramount.

I love how the desert leads into the water. (Or is it ice?) Then the city rises above.

The synopsis and other sources are stating this is like a mix of the Roman Empire merging with The Hunter Game.  Yet it sounds and looks like a romance to me. It will be interesting to see how this book does, and if the optioning will pull through.

Blood Magick by Nora Roberts

The cover sold me before I even read they synopsis. Give. Me. Now!

Okay, so there are only a few covers here. But I’m out seeking some more!
