Wednesday Wishes

Be warned! I am on a Psy-Changeling book reviewing rampage! Ha-ha! I’ve been eating them up like crazy! What can I say Psy-Changeling has made me their willing victim.

For those yet to read them, you’re crazy!

Dangerous by Jax (AKA Jaquelyn Frank)

dangerousGet it: Amazon | Goodreads
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Series: N/A

A body that won't quit
Clothes that are barely there
Eyes that openly invite him to take what he wants

Devon Candler is nothing like the helpless, vulnerable woman Liam expected when he agreed to provide security for her secluded Catskill Mountain estate. Yet her life is at risk. Her enemies monsters. Her secrets devastating.

Liam Nash is a trained killer who takes no prisoners, fears no man. But to him this woman is seductively, devastatingly. . .

Dangerous.

To be quite honest the description of the book did not pull me in until I realized this is kind of like a paranormal The Bodyguard. So I’m in.

Replica by Jenna Black

Genre: YA Dystopian (Or YA Sci/Fi
Series: Replica Trilogy, book 1

REPLICA is the breathtaking new SF novel from JENNA BLACK, author of the Faeriewalker series.Sixteen-year-old Nadia Lake’s marriage has been arranged with the most powerful family in the Corporate States. She lives a life of privilege even if she has to put up with paparazzi tracking her every move, every detail of her private life tabloid fodder. But her future is assured, as long as she can maintain her flawless public image—no easy feat when your betrothed is a notorious playboy.

Nathaniel Hayes is the heir to the company that pioneered human replication: a technology that every state and every country in the world would kill to have. Except he’s more interested in sneaking around the seedy underbelly of the state formerly known as New York than he is in learning to run his future company or courting his bride-to-be. She’s not exactly his type…not that he can tell anyone that.

But then Nate turns up dead, and Nadia was the last person to see him alive.
When the new Nate wakes up in the replication tanks, he knows he must have died, but with a memory that only reaches to his last memory back-up, he doesn’t know what—or rather, who—killed him.

Together, Nadia and Nate must discover what really happened without revealing the secrets that those who run their world would kill to protect.

At the publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management software (DRM) applied.

Hmmm . . . this is another title I actually have no interest, until the author’s name caught my eye. Jenna Black is an author I will follow anywhere.

Dying is My Business by Nicholas Kaufmann

Genre: Urban Fantasy
Series: N/A

Given his line of work in the employ of a psychotic Brooklyn crime boss, Trent finds himself on the wrong end of too many bullets. Yet each time he’s killed, he wakes a few minutes later completely healed of his wounds but with no memory of his past identity. What’s worse, each time he cheats death someone else dies in his place.

Sent to steal an antique box from some squatters in an abandoned warehouse near the West Side Highway, Trent soon finds himself stumbling into an age-old struggle between the forces of good and evil, revealing a secret world where dangerous magic turns people into inhuman monstrosities, where impossible creatures hide in plain sight, and where the line between the living and the dead is never quite clear. And when the mysterious box is opened, he discovers he has only twenty-four hours to save New York City from certain destruction.

Dying is My Business looks and sounds A-Mazing! Plus, a good Goodreads friend stated that this was the best book of the year! How can I not chomp at the bit!
