Cover Coveting(15)

Cover art is found from Wicked Scribes, ATUF, Goodreads, social networks, and other sources.
***All cover art may not be final.***

Currently watching Rush right now. To be honest I think it has some of the strongest writing for a movie I’ve seen in a long while. It seems like movies have had such lack luster writing.

Full Fathom Five by Max Gladstone

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

full-fathom-five Series: Craft Sequence, book 3

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Urban Fantasy

Shera’s thoughts:

The artwork for these covers is always amazing. However, if I think about it they don’t really advertise what the series has.

But much like the Cal Leandros cover the look is starting to become the staple of the genre. It’s better then half naked people!

Ghost Seer by Robin D. Owens

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

ghost-seer Series: Ghost Seer, book 1

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Shera’s thoughts:

What a great series debut cover! Ah! Love it!! Usually I groan at the belly bearing, but it just looks sexy here. Not trying too hard. It even goes with the whole she has.

I love the weird circle thing around her. Is it magic, aurora, or what? Anywho, very cool.

Grave Possession by Angel Lawson

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

Grave-Possession Series: Wraith, book 3

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Paranormal YA

Shera’s thoughts:

I love how Wraith is faded into the girl, very clever.

This is probably the best cover this series had had.

Havoc by Ann Aguirre

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

havoc Series: Dred Chronicles, book 2)

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Sci/Fi

Shera’s thoughts:

It’s so wonderful that the awesome Sirantha Jax covers have come over to the Dred Chronicles books.

I love a bad ass woman on my covers!

House of the Rising Sun by Kristen Painter

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

house-of-the-rising-son Series: Crescent City, book 1

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Urban Fantasy

Shera’s thoughts:

First thought:
Freaking amazing cover! Yes!

Second though:
What is wrong with her boobs?

They do know this genre is read by mostly females right? Why do they think we want them to over correct the female body?

Also, the synopsis makes it seem like a male is the lead. Why isn’t he on the cover?

The Immortal Circus: Final Act by A.R. Kahler

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

immortal-circus Series: Cirque de Immortals, book 3

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: N/A

Shera’s thoughts:

It isn’t as circusey as the other covers, but I think it would if that whip was a bit more seeable.

Either way I’m happy to see the green.

Landry Park by Bethany Hagen

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

landry_parks Series: Laundry Park, book 1

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Dystopian YA

Shera’s thoughts:

Love it! I love the girl in the A and the reflection, it’s totally awesome.

Memory Zero by Keri Arthur

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

memory_zero Series: Spook Squad, book 1

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Urban Fantasy

Shera’s thoughts:

What an upgrade! The old cover was horrid. This cover makes me wish that this book would have worked for me.

Night Sky by Suzanne Brockmann, Melanie Brockmann

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

Night-Sky Series: Night Sky, book 1

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Paranormal YA

Shera’s thoughts:

I love it! The girl looks . . . free. Plus, I love how the title text has a bit of photo glare on it. Cool.

Now and For Never by Lesley Livingston

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

now_and_for_never Series: Never, book 3

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Dystopian YA

Shera’s thoughts:

This covers always make me fall in love with them! I love how all of the elements are mixed in and blended well.

Of Sea and Stone by Kate Avery Ellison

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

of-sea-and-stone Series: N/A

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Dystopian YA or Paranormal YA?

Shera’s thoughts:

Just when you think dress covers are over done, another totally awesome cover comes along.

My only complaint is that the background looks like the wrong size. Those rocks look like magnified pebbles.

Orenda by Ruth Silver

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

orenda Series: N/A

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Paranormal YA

Shera’s thoughts:

When I saw this cover I thought, “It has to be a dream paranormal.” Sure enough it is! I love it!

Despite how over populated the dream scene is. The cover is whispering, “You want me. You know you’re going to throw all your money at me.”

Otherbound by Corinne Duyvis

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

Otherbound Series: N/A

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Paranormal YA

Shera’s thoughts:

It’s cool how the guy is on the urban side and the girl the magic fantasy side.

Great to see another unique and wonderful cover.

Pack of Strays by Dana Cameron

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

pack-of-strays Series: Fangborn, book 2

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Urban Fantasy

Shera’s thoughts:

Love gritty covers like this in the genre! Plus, I have a total cover crush on the blonde.

Plus One by Elizabeth Fama

Previous book(s) in series:

Goodreads | Amazon

plus-one Series: N/A

Add it: Goodreads | Amazon
Genre: Dystopian YA

Shera’s thoughts:

This one was on one of my Wednesday Wishes posts. I love-love-love-love-love-love-love-love-love this cover! Thank you cover design team. Thank you.
