Review: Ice Planet Barbarians

Ice Planet Barbarians (Ice Planet Barbarians, book 1) by Ruby Dixon

Ice Planet Barbarians (Ice Planet Barbarians #1)

Genre: Science Fiction Erotica
Edition Reviewed: Ebook
Amazon: Paperback | Kindle
Goodreads: Ice Planet Barbarians (1)

You'd think being abducted by aliens would be the worst thing that could happen to me. And you'd be wrong. Because now, the aliens are having ship trouble, and they've left their cargo of human women - including me - on an ice planet.
And the only native inhabitant I've met? He's big, horned, blue, and really, really has a thing for me...

Review:

“To think I haven't dressed properly for alien abduction.”

One of the great things about this book was it's humor. Whether it was being clever, or down right dirty and clever. The raunchy humor may have been way on the nose, but it's just right. Because this book doesn't take itself too seriously and still at the same time has just enough world building to keep it interesting. I enjoyed the perfect balance of alien smut and actual plot. Yeah!

The whole idea of being abducted and finding out their cargo, and then being abandoned on a strange planet is cool. However, it quickly turns into alien happy time. Georgie is the brave girl who is the only one able to go out and explore the ice planet. After she gets snared she wakes up to a scary alien monster. Thankfully he doesn't want to eat her, just eat her out. * winks *

There's a population of big blue furred aliens with horns and their current population is going down as they don't have many females. Let's just say they're super excited to see lots of woman crash land on their planet. Soon the girls find out they need a parasite implanted in there bodies so that they don't become ill and die. The parasite likes to choose who can mate with whom and won't rest until they make babies! Oh, and it alters their bodies so they can survive. (Though that seems like a happy side effect. Ha-ha.)

So basically this is an alien breeder erotica.

I could go on and on about how lame it is that these girls are basically having sex to get knocked up. However, it's part of the story and I wont' judge. (Even though preggos as a turn on point is definitely not my cup of tea.)

What I will say is that the humor and girls are awesome! The world is fun and I do enjoy that Dixon makes this a pretty well developed sci-fi verse. I'm one of those people who can't just have tons and tons of sex scenes. I need more!! What I really love is that the girls making up the core cast are interesting and I can become invested in them. Not to mention I like kinky alien porn. A lot of time I feel like science fiction erotica takes itself too seriously. So if you want a crazy-ass-sexy-time with hot furred-horned-blue aliens jump on board!

Content Warning: Oh, lot's of explicit sexual content and humor people! Alien porn. People are abducted and there is rape. Some graphic violence scenes.
