Wow. It’s December. It’s almost time for the year to end!! I’m ashamed at how little reading I’ve done, but I’m excited of the books I’ll read in the new year and the books that will be coming out.
I’ve been looking at the upcoming releases and I’ve noticed a real rise of Sci-Fi! Especially for the YA genre it’s not just Dystopian anymore. Also, alternate history seems to be big. Very cool.

Series: InCryptid, book 5 Add it: Goodreads | Amazon Genre: Urban Fantasy Shera’s thoughts: Ugh. I thought the last cover was supposed to be a sign that these sexist crap covers would be over. This isn’t as bad as some of the first covers in the series, but I hope this is an actual scene from the book. |

Series: Facsimile, book 1 Add it: Goodreads | Amazon Genre: Young Adult Science Fiction Shera’s thoughts: Yes! This is freaking awesome!! I’ve noticed a bump in Sci-Fi for YA. But what’s even better is how amazing the covers look. This is truly a beauty. |
Ghost Talkers by Mary Robinette Kowal

Series: N/A Add it: Goodreads | Amazon Genre: Paranormal Historical, Alternate History Shera’s thoughts: Wow! I adore this cover!!! At first it doesn’t look like it has much to do with any genre. The book is a smashup of them. However, the background of the air planes clearly an old time thing, the woman seeming to do something with the dead soldier, it all has hints to what the book has to offer. Oh, and I like what they did with the title typography. (Oh, and look how small the authors name is.) |
The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin

Series: N/A Add it: Goodreads | Amazon Genre: Young Adult Fantasy Shera’s thoughts: All right I love the idea. Love that they circle castle thing is over the font. It’s a great idea. But it looks really crappy. Points on the girl walking on water. The ripples and the reflection of the city look good. |
Reckless: The Golden Yarn by Cornelia Funke

The King Slayer by Virginia Boecker
