Wednesday Wishes: Not Quite on Wednesday

Hunting for books is one of my favorite things. Finding a new title is my equivalent of "getting rich." Whether the titles been around for a while, brand spanking new, or just not that common Wednesday Wishes is here for me to share them with you.

A little late for WW, but I’m still getting back into the swing of things.  This dreary weather is starting to get to me.  Sunshine, where has all the sunshine gone?

For those of you who have missed my announcements.  The Book Tour will still be down, I’ve just got to create one that is under 15 min. and then convert it to upload to Youtube.  Sorry it’s taken so long.

A Tale of Two Castles A Tale of Two Castles by Gail Carson Levine

Mysteries abound, especially in Two Castles.

A handsome cat trainer, black-and-white cats, thieves on four legs and two, suspicious townsfolk, a greedy king, a giddy princess, a shape-shifting ogre, a brilliant dragon. Which is the villainous whited sepulcher?

Elodie journeys to the town of Two Castles to become a mansioner—an actress—but luck is against her. She is saved from starvation by the dragon Meenore, who sends her on a dangerous mission inside the ogre's castle. There, disguised as a kitchen maid at an ogre's feast, she finds herself cast in the role of a lifetime and pitted against a foe intent on murder.

Newbery Honor author Gail Carson Levine weaves an entrancing tale of a fearsome ogre, a dragon detective, and a remarkable heroine, who finds friendship where she least expects it, learns that there are many ways to mansion, and discovers that goodness and evil come in all shapes and sizes.

Levine is one of my all time favorite YA Epic Fantasy writers. She never fails to enchantment and bring me into a state of high emotions. For those of you not familiar with her, she is the author of the award winning Ella Enchanted.

Hard Bitten (Chicagoland Vampires, Book 4)Hard Bitten (Chicagoland Vampires, Book 4) by Chloe Neill

Meet Merit, a "wonderfully compelling vampire heroine" (USA Today bestselling author Julie Kenner).

Chicago is beset by supernatural tensions, and Merit-vampire protector of a safe haven called Cadogan house-is worried that the humans will be reaching for their pitchforks any minute. It doesn't help that yet another vampire rave is broken up by the mayor, and a new inhibition- reducing drug is circulating through the community.

It's up to Merit to put her house in order-literally. And if that takes getting a little blood on her hands, so be it.

It's almost here!! Since I'm currently reading book two I decided it was time to start wishing for book 4 so I can jump on it once I get done with 3.

BumpedBumped by Megan Mccafferty

When a virus makes everyone over the age of eighteen infertile, would-be parents are forced to pay teen girls to conceive and give birth to their children, making teens the most prized members of society.

Sixteen-year-old identical twins Melody and Harmony were separated at birth and had never met until the day Harmony shows up on Melody’s doorstep. Until now, the twins have followed completely opposite paths. Melody has scored an enviable conception contract with a couple called the Jaydens. While they are searching for the perfect partner for Melody to bump with, she is fighting her attraction to her best friend Zen, who is way too short for the job.

Harmony has spent her whole life in religious Goodside, preparing to be a wife and mother. She believes her calling is to bring Melody back to Goodside and convince her that “pregging” for profit is a sin. But Harmony has secrets of her own that she is running from.

When Melody is finally matched with the world-famous, genetically flawless Jondoe, both girls’ lives are changed forever. A case of mistaken identity takes them on a journey neither could have ever imagined, one that makes Melody and Harmony realize they have so much more than just DNA in common.

This sounds crazy. Suddenly everyone wants teens to pop out kids. We all know how I have a weird terror/fascination with arranged marriage kind of things. So this should be up my twisted alley.

The Cold Kiss of Death (A Spellcrackers Novel)The Cold Kiss of Death (A Spellcrackers Novel)by Suzanne McLeod

Haven't read my copy of the first book yet, but I can still lust after the next one right?
