As a reader I always want the download on what's going on with authors. Do they have new books coming out, how the latest tour going, any thing juicy! So, I decided to bring the news to my readers. I'm lurking around all of those author blogs anyway, might as well do something productive.
This week I didn’t have enough time to really pack Author Gossip, but hopefully you’ll find some useful stuff here.
General Gossip:
A uthor Lori Devoti has released her first YA novel. Sadly for us hard copy fans it is currently only available for eBook and PDF!MLucinda Dent never planned to call demons. She wasn’t stupid, after all. She saw what the addiction did to her mother. But her mother has been gone for ten years, sucked into hell by a demon, and all Lucinda has left is her grandmother and the house she grew up in. Who could blame her for using the only thing her mother gave her, a talent for demon calling, to save them?
Lucinda teams up with an old friend and together they set up business, calling demons. But soon things go terribly wrong.
Demons are loose in Caldera High, and not only is Lucinda responsible, she just might be in love with one of them. Can love conquer all, or is Lucinda about to lose everything–her home, her new love, and her soul? (Source Author's Newsletter)

Dear Lovely Readers, I'm not doing a tour this year for various personal reasons, but I will be doing this event for release. It will be a live video stream-and yes, you can ask questions from wherever you are--and anyone wanting a personalized signed copy of DARKEST MERCY can pre-order thru MG. I will sign as many of them as you order. This is the best way I can personalize your books and talk to as many of you as want to listen. XO, Melissa

New Covers:
Viper Moon by Lee Roland
My Thoughts: This is kick booty good! It’s so dark and the snake is just creepy. The shiny pants look like they escaped from the Matrix.

Heartless by Gail Carriger
My Thoughts: This cover is terrible. At first I thought it was one of those contest covers they were doing a while ago. Sadly, it is the official one.

Much Ado About Vampires by Katie MacAlister
My Thoughts: They eyes are just freaky. While I like the purple hues, it could be any other PNR on the shelf.
Author Thoughts: Newly Returned to Me Editor Kate has sent me the cover for Much Ado About Vampires, the book that features Alec (and has lots of Pia and Kristoff and Ulfur), and once again, I'm absolutely in awe of the art guys at Penguin.

My Thoughts: LOVE this cover! All the right colors and it’s nice that they people on the cover aren’t clinging all over each other, they look ready for a different kind of action.
