"What do you consider the most important in a story: the plot or the characters?"
Both.
That is not a far question. To make a book both have to be there in great amounts. The most memorable books that float in my mind long after it’s shut are the books that had amazing plots, that were heavily accented by the amazing character depth. A book isn’t truly a good read with out the other.
Weekly Overview:
- This weeks Lips Don’t Lie: Author Gossip; Excerpt of Awakened, Page to Screen news, and Much More Reading that Excerpt was such a good treat!!
- This week I had the pleasure of reading up and coming author Jess Haines new book Taken by the Other.
- Wednesday Wishes has some great new finds, with yummy covers!!
- Also if you didn’t notice the huge flashing banner at the top of the site, Jess Haines has graciously done an interview!! So support this wonderful author and check out the post.

I agree completely, ideally I'd love a stellar plot and emotionally intriguing characters, but if I HAD to choose, it would be characters:) Thanks for stopping by my blog, I hope you have a great weekend!
I totally agree a good story needs both.
BLHmistress: It was a know brianer for me, you just can't have a good book with only one or the other.
bookdout: Glad to see another like minded reader.
Jenny: No problem, your blog was so cute.
What can I say I'm a greedy reader.
Nanny: Yeah!! Another greedy reader.
Oh me what a question this week.
I really think the characters are important. It makes me want to read the book if I want to know the characters. But a good plot with twists just makes it move along.
I just finished a degree in Biological Sciences and am still working on a degree in Humanities, History, and Religious Studies. What do I want to do when I grow up? I want to be the hottest historian on the history channel, national geographic, or discovery channel!

I prefer characters over plot. But both are important. Happy Blog Hop.
Happy HOP! First off I'd say both are important to how I enjoy the story but ultimately it's the characters for me. Hope you're enjoying your weekend :)

Elizabeth: Will take look at everything!
Just hoppin on over! I need to love the characters in a book, good example for me is the Fever series. The series has a great plot but the first few books I had a hard time getting into because I didn't care too much for MacKayla until she started to grow & mature more in Faefever.
Hope your weekend is going well, thanks for stopping by and happy reading!
