General Gossip:
December 7th is coming up, for die hard Richelle Mead fans we now what that means. The end of Vampire Academy. Personally I haven’t been thinking about it, too much. Then goodreads finally posts this, and there is rejoicing!
The Spinoff Series finally gets a waiting cover. Better news it finally gets a name! Book one of the new series is Bloodlines, which just so happens to be the name of the series.
While a favorite series ends, a new one begins.
Also cut your teeth on the first chapter of Last Sacrifice so the wait for tomorrow doesn’t seem so daunting.
This cover caught my eye a while ago and I’m counting down the days to January 4th. So if you want some teasers for this upcoming book check out some touring blogs. Over at The Mountains of Instead. Also pop over and check out the interview about The Lighthouse Children's Literary Consultancy.
Posting this because it was too priceless. Personally, I’ve never felt compelled to write to an author, never new what to say besides gushing praise. Now I know: Remember me, the sock.
Ever since reading book 1 of the Dark Elite series I have been haunted by the release of the next one. Good thing the release date is coming up and we now have the blog tours to check out!
On last weeks Wednesday Wishes I posted that author Jennifer L. Armentrout was coming out with new series themed with Greek myths. However, the only thing I got right was that the cover for Half-Blood reminisces of the covers for the Darkworld Series by author Jennifer ArmIntrout.
So with that mistake behind me let me introduce you to a fun new series. This is a Paranormal Young Adult, that uses Greek myths. For those of use who just fall upon PNR YA, this is a real treat! So few authors really use Greek myth.
The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi—pure-bloods—have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals—well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.
Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:
Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.
Unfortunately, she’s crushing hard on the pure-blooded Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn’t her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck
The description just teases you doesn’t it? Now here’s another teaser, the very first quote that the author has decided to share:
The first quote is from Alexandria Andros. Affectionately referred to as Alex. Hey, girls with boy nicknames are officially more kickass.
Drum roll please . . ."I was gonna be super pissed in the afterlife if I died a virgin in this crap hole."
Check in on Jennifer’s blog every Wednesday to get more quotes!!
New Covers:
I love the covers for Galenorn’s books. They are just so appealing to the eye.
Love the hot read jacket.
All of the books Galenorn has shot stories in just have the most stunning covers.
I was a total fan of the last books blue and black colors, which where gorgeous. The white and read totally trumps that!! Me likes!!
And remember, all three sisters have Facebook Pages now, and Iris and Maggie are sharing a page. Camille, Delilah, and Menolly welcome your comments. These are the ONLY officially approved pages for the Sisters--anybody else using their names on Facebook is doing so without my permission.
