"What book(s) would you like to see turned into a movie?"

None.

Don't get me wrong I love watching books that get turned into movies.  Especially when they are really well done.  However, I hate it when they butcher the plot and the characters.  For instance I'm beyond excited to watch the City of Bones on the big screen, but if they change the plot for the sake of the movie I'll be one upset fan.   In the end I couldn't put one of my favorite reads on chopping block.

I'm off to the Hop!

Hopping through for the weekend. I agree that it's sometimes infuriating when a story is (randomly/needlessly) changed for the sake of a movie. More often than not, it comes to bite the movie-makers in the ass. But...there have been a few times where it's actually paid off... It almost makes a girl want to try tackling it herself ;)

If you feel like hopping my way, come venture into The Wolf's Den. Have a great weekend!

I know where you're coming from. I do hate it when books get butchered. I'm okay with a little bit of alteration for the sake of going on the screen, but sometimes it just gets out of control.

Well, if the adaptation is good, then the book gets exposed to a bigger population. I know some people who never read LOTR but checked Tolkien out because they loved the movie. I'd love it if my fave authors get better known also.

Here's my Book Blogger Hop post!

Wow! I did not get emailed about all of these comments, blogger just likes to mock me.

Vicki: The Wolf's Den is awesome, love the design.

It always seems that for every successful adaptation there are about 10 failures falling behind it.

Noel R: Out of control is definitely the right word for the Harry Potter movies after movie 3.

ranomizeme: Yeah, the movie was great exposure for Tolkien. That the trilogy was a success to me in good adaptation.

Elizabeth: Thanks, I'm fond of the header too! Great giveaway.
