Author Gossip(4) and Cover Coveting (1)

As a reader I always want the download on what's going on with authors. Do they have new books coming out, how the latest tour going, any thing juicy! So, I decided to bring the news to my readers. I'm lurking around all of those author blogs anyway, might as well do something productive.

The Darkest Edge of Dawn (Charlie Madigan, Book 2)Kelly Gay's first YA book hit the shelves last month, Darkness Becomes Her, and I know fans have fallen in love with it. What about her adult series now that the YA seems to be a success? Well things are still going along nicely for her Charlie Madigon seres infact she can share just a little bit with fans now!

In this installment (The Darkest Edge of Dawn (Charlie Madigan, Book 2)) Charlie and Co. head into Charbydon. It was a ton of fun to go outside of Atlanta and into the world that inspired our myths of hell. What a ride!

Also, something new with this book – we’ll have a glossary. As the world expands, I think it’ll be nice to have a reference for readers.

Starting in March, I'll have three and a half months to write Charlie No. 4. And then, I’m hoping to take a vacation!

Hunt the Moon: A Cassie Palmer Novel The Cassie Palmer series has been one of my favorite series for along time. After all time travel, vampires, and all kinds of wacky magic equals loads of fun!! So to keep the wacky magic going Chance has some great things for fans for her latest installment, Hunt the Moon.

First up you can read the first to chapters of Hunt the Moon! That's right the first to chapters. Let's take a moment of silence for this awesomeness.

If that doesn't get your engine revving, then a chance to win a free copy of the Hunt the Moon should. Chance knows how to spoil her fans.

Also, the audio books for the series are pretty popular so fans should be happy Tantor Media is doing it again. (Tantor Media is the company who has done the last couple of books.)

The hot authors Anya Bast and Yasmine Galenorn are joining ther savvy skills together in a blog! (You were hoping it was a book, right?)  So check out Fire and Ice where Bast will be posting on Tuesdays and Galenorn will post on Thursdays.

A little short on news this week, but I will leave you with the latest trailer for Rub Thurman’s Cal Leandros series.  Even if you don’t know the series you’ll want to check it out for it’s kick butt appeal.  Now you can move on to the cover!

Wicked Pretty Things (Anthology)

Shera’s Thoughts:  While the title brings to mind a certain YA series by Marrs, the cover is stunning!  The frosted look or powered—whatever it is—looks great.  The rose kind of takes away from the effect suddenly being chucked onto the front, but I still like it.  Just wish they could have made the image of the women clearer.

Author’s Thoughts:

Cue the happy dance! The happy dance! But don't watch while I do it. Because I am a terrible dancer.

To elaborate, and so that I make sense: I have a story appearing alongside a whole list of phenomenal authors—not least, Francesca Lia Block, who is basically* my most significant writing role model of all time, and whose work is the main reason I decided at 19 that I was actually going to get brave and pursue publication. For real. And when I saw that she was going to be in this anthology, I immediately commenced bouncing around the house like the Gummi Bears! You remember the Gummi Bears, don't you? –Brenna Yovanoff

I haven't read Kelly Gay's adult series, but it's on my TBR List. I haven't heard of the Cassie Palmer series- I definitely will check it out now. Thanks for the info :)

The Cassie Palmer series are really original. Not to many authors can handle a time line like chance.

Glad the info helped.
