Sunday Sweets

This is part of The Story Siren's weekly meme, In My Mailbox. This just gives you a chance to see what goodies everyone has bought this week for there bookshelves.

This week I went a little crazy. These purchases are probably the very reason I can kiss reaching the bottom of my TBR pile goodbye.

First my basic purchases:

Salt and Silver Gilfeather (Isles of Glory)

Tempest Rising (Jane True, #1) Pleasure of a Dark Prince (Immortals After Dark, #9)
Salt and Silver by Anna Katherine (Amazon)
Gilfeather by Glenda Larke (Amazon, with third party)
Tempest Rising by Nicole Peeler (Borders)
Pleasure of a Dark Prince by Kresely Cole (Walmart)

Pretty When She Dies: A Vampire Novel
Pretty When She Dies: A Vampire Novel by Rhiannon Frater  (Amazon)

Before you really look at my purchase. Yes, I have a book addiction. No, I'm not going to do a think about it. To each their own. ^_-

Now to the crazy purchase. Brought to you by Overstock and a huge chunk of my paycheck.

Yes. I bought a lot of books. In my mind I picture some big Overstock employee counting dollar bills and laughing, my money the cause for the employees mirth. Luckily I'm laughing with them as I gloat over my new pile of books. (This scenario is probably unlikely as my small fortune of a purchase is a little blip on the radar. My happiness, however, remains the same.)
So to highlight my purchase. I splurged on some hardback copies again, I just couldn't stop myself. Fallen and Beautiful Creatures, I've just been hearing such wonderful things and couldn't help myself. Finally I have a copy of Gilfeather, it has taken me forever to track down a decent, and a fordable, copy. Also I was able to get some of my favorite authors new books and some great new series I can't wait to get to. Ahem, of course I still need to get to my older books in the TBR piles.

Can't wait to see what everyone else got!

Oh man I curse you made me miss my paycheck I can't splurge as much now. I used to catch the Borders people laughing at me as I lugged my bags out of the store. Beautiful Creatures is genius that was money well spent..who am I kidding it was all money well spent. Have fun :)

OMG.... *falling to my knees* hail hail to your purchases!! It is Christmas in February for you!=)

I must say W.O.W. I agree on every purchase you made.

If I lived nearby I would so be coming over to sniff the smell of books with you. Wait, do you live in Hawaii? hehehehe, lol! I'm just kidding, kind of..... but you know us book junkies-just the sight of great novels is enough to send us over the edge.

Enjoy your books!!=)

Liz: Thanks. I've been thinking about jazzing it up a bit. Maybe add a background. I really like the simple look. (Though that's kind of strange for me because I dress completely jazzed up. ^_-)

Ciatlin: I use to buy books like this at Borders. When they had 20% off entire purchases and buy a book get a book free. Gosh I miss that last one. The Borders people where actually really great, they new exactly when I came in each week, and would help me take my stuff to my car! Unfortunately things have gone downhill for me and borders. Still love them though.

Chasity: Thanks. They smell great! I'm even more excited to get them up on my shelves. Though I don't know if I can pull it off this time! Unfortunately I live all the way out in Idaho. I love it out here though, I could use a few book friends out in my lonely neck of the woods. Really I live next to the woods!

I agree all of the books are great and I can't wait to get to them!

I'm so jealous! You've got so many great books there that I've got on my TBR list!

Wonderful group of books! I am picturing a semi-truck backing up to your door and using a forklift to download your boxes and boxes of books. How will you choose what to read first? Happy reading!

Honestly I have no idea how I'm going to pick what to read. My TBR pile is so big and very behind.

After I'm done reading Firespell, I'll probably just glance at a bookshelf and know. At least that's how I'm hoping it will work!
